What is eBoard Calendar?
eBoard Calendar allows you to include web-based calendars in your eBoard. Like all eBoard features, eBoard Calendar is easy to use and lets you get started in just seconds! It's a great way to organize homework assignments, sporting events, meetings, and other information. eBoard Calendar takes eBoard to a whole new level, letting you post text, links, images, and documents just as you do with regular eBoard, but with the added advantage that everything is organized by date.
How do I create an eBoard Calendar?
Follow these steps:
- Enter admin mode (see What is admin mode?).
- Click on the "control panel" link in the upper right hand corner of your eBoard.
- In the control panel, click the link that says "tabs". You will see a list of all of your tabs (see What is a tab?).
- Select "Add a new tab" and enter a name for your calendar, such as "Calendar" or "Schedule". Note: If you do not see the "Add a new tab" box, you may have the maximum number of 10 tabs and will need to delete one of your existing tabs if you wish to create a calendar (see How do I delete a tab?).
- To the right of the "Add a new tab" box, from the drop down menu select the Type "Calendar".
- Click "Save and Exit" to create your calendar and exit the control panel.
- To create additional calendars, repeat steps 4-6.
Why can't I create an eBoard Calendar?
There are several possible reasons.
- You may already have the maximum number of 10 tabs. If this is the case, you will need to delete one tab in order to make room for your calendar (see How do I delete a tab?).
- If your eBoard is part of a building-wide or district-wide eBoard implementation, your administrator may have disabled the creation of new calendars. Contact your eBoard administrator to find out whether this is the case.

How do I add new entries to my eBoard Calendar?
Follow these steps:
- Enter admin mode (see What is admin mode?).
- Click "add a note" in the upper right hand corner of your eBoard.
- Enter a title for your new calendar entry.
- Choose a date for your new calendar entry.
- If you wish, you can enter some text which will be displayed when a user clicks on the note, and you can attach pictures or documents (see How do I post a note?).
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Submit".
How do I update an eBoard Calendar entry?
Follow these steps:
- Enter admin mode (see What is admin mode?).
- Click on the calendar entry you want to edit.
- Click "edit note".
- Make your changes. You can change the title, move the note to a new date or to another tab, change the text, add or remove attachments.
- Scroll down to the bottom of your note and click "submit".
How do I delete an eBoard Calendar entry?
Follow these steps:
- Enter admin mode (see What is admin mode?).
- Click on the calendar entry you want to delete.
- Click "delete note".
- When asked whether you are sure, click "OK".
How do I save a calendar entry so that I can use it again later?
You can move notes that are displayed on your eBoard Calendar to another tab for safekeeping. If you don't want visitors to see your saved notes, you can put them in the "Archive" tab which is only visible in admin mode.
- Enter admin mode (see What is admin mode?).
- Click on the calendar entry you want to save for later.
- Click "edit note".
- Scroll down until you see a control that says "move this note to a new tab". Choose "Archive" (or any other tab to which you'd like to move your note).
- Click "submit".
I have some notes that contain information which I'd like to post on my eBoard Calendar. How do I do this?
Follow these steps:
- Enter admin mode (see What is admin mode?).
- Find the note you want to move to the calendar and click "Edit".
- Scroll down until you see a control that says "move this note to a new tab". Choose your calendar tab.
- Click "submit".
- Your note will show up attached to today's date. (Continue on to move your note to another date.)
- Click on the note.
- Click "edit note".
- Choose a new date for your note.
- Scroll down to the bottom of your note and click "submit".
Can I use eBoard Calendar with iNote?
Yes! The combination of eBoard Calendar and iNote is very powerful (see What is iNote?). For example, you can post information on a meeting and enable iNote so that visitors can say whether they will be able to attend, or you could post information on a homework assignment and let students post questions about the assignment. Set your iNote to "Moderated" to approve entries before they are posted. (see What is a moderated iNote?).
